South Valley Solutions was founded in 2019 by Russell Johnson and Jenifer Pitcher. Mr. Johnson has an extensive history in government. He has served as a District Representative for a local State Senator, Chief of Staff to a County Supervisor, Planning Commissioner and Councilmember at the City of Bakersfield. In 2010, Johnson started the government affairs firm, Common Sense Consulting.

Ms. Pitcher has extensive experience with advocacy, coalition building, and public affairs serving as a District Representative for a State Senator and was the founding Executive Director of an influential advocacy group. Her most recent experience with the oil and gas industry as well as agriculture has given her the technical knowledge of Kern County’s top industries.

With over 25 years of combined experience locally, Russell and Jenifer have relationships with local elected officials, government staff, and community leaders throughout California.
